Don't disappoint a kid, get him certified
I know it's hot and not even August, but it’s time to start planning for the 2006 2007 hunting season.
Here is a link to Alabama's 2006-2007 seasons, game, and bag limits in PDF form. The real important information is that rabbit season starts on 2 October 2006. Also pay attention to the hunter orange requirements and the new hunting near structures regulation
Alabama’s hunting license expires 31 July every year

2 called and said
Tiny called. He had lost my numbers and wanted to know if I was coming down in the morning to exercise the "Girls".
What a question. Some play golf or other equally empty pursuit every Saturday, but I put my time to a good use, making sure The Rabbit Journal Pack stays up to snuff. I seldom miss a Saturday.
I called Tiny, camp cook and builder of the dog boxes that keep the girls from giving me an assist in operating the old Pathfinder, to let him know I planned to be there at 6. The three dog summer box and Kates individual box (she doesn't travel well) are loaded and a five gallon jerry can refilled with water. Snake chaps, electric pine limb ( dogtra dog collars) and other gear are already in the Pathfinder. Coffee maker is primed and Uncle NoPass's thermos filled with hot water waiting the coffee.
Maybe with a little luck, Tiny will make one of his famed breakfasts that are guaranteed to put some extra zeros' in your cardiologists bank account.

2’s hat has come in
It’s a Riverz Delta from Noggin Tops. It’s actually not a bad looking hat for a synthetic material. He chose the Delta over the Safari at my suggestion.
Why?
Cause I’m looking for a new summer work hat among others and I was leaning toward the Delta, so I was using 2 as a guinea pig.
Before 2 bought it, I asked about it’s spf rating. Noggin Tops responded that it was 50, pretty fair protection.
Well, 2 could hold the hat over the hood of his truck and you could see spots of sunlight where the sun came through the weave. When 2 called them, they told him that the material that the hat is made of is rated 50, not necessarily the hat itself. I would suggest that anyone else buying one should consider this. NogginTops offered to swap the hat out for one with a tighter weave, but 2 is already busy modifying it. Besides, I doubt if they had one with a tight enough weave to stop that amount of light shining through
