If your dogs

are like mine, then they have been putting on some weight since the end of the rabbit season.
Mystery has been filling in nicely

It's a good time to check those collars.
Make sure they're in good repair and are loose enough.

I can tell when the the "Girls" get ticked at me. They leave landmines at the gate for me to step in, instead of the usual section of the pen. I think they're telling me it's getting time for a run

Rimfire,I know what you mean.Do to a long streach at work I havn't run dogs since tues.I guess i spoke to loud about going this morning,but woke up to find 19 deg weather,couldn't make my self go.My dogs were very unhappy today, I got several looks of disgust at feeding time.Annie went so far as to pout in the dog house.If it gets into the 30's,I may go after church,but don't say it to loud.Have you made any progress at finding a pup?You could have one of mine , they aren't due till the 21st.I don't see any way they could be ready until late june or early july.

I might have to take you up on that though its a long ride for a dog.

I mis-spoke on the end of turkey season. That's the end of April before I can put the dogs out
