GF and I will be doing a pass through since we have to attend her grandmother's 90th birthday celebration in Harris County, Georgia in the early afternoon.

I recommend that you get to the Q and Stew early, say noon eastern (yes, they are on central time), since they sell out early

Some member of the East Alabama Rabbit Hunters and Souse Eaters Social Club plan to attend after a morning hunt at Plunkers Place. Punker won't be hunting. He's been cooking the q and stew and will be hard at work

I also forgot to mention that Plunker fed us Brunswick stew for our tailgate lunch, which reminds me that the semi-annual fund raiser for the Ridge Grove volunteer fire department is the third Saturday in March. I plan to stop by and visit Plunker and eat some fine q and stew.....that's if I'm not chasing specks and reds in Apalachicola.

I've got to move some dirt piles for the in-laws.

And our plans are to hunt till 11:00-11:30 eastern and then go by the Ridge Grove Volunteer Fire Department for their semi-annual bbq.

I have orders to pick up a plate for GF and 2. And I suppose an extra for myself since we will be watching the Auburn Georgia football game later in the day

Plunker won’t be there of course. He’ll be cooking. Not sure about who else won’t be there since it’s the day of the Auburn Georgia game.

Volunteer fire department BBQ and Brunswick Stew fund raiser looked like a success….to me.
Good Q and good stew though like Plunker said “get 20 people together and you’ll get 20 recipes for Brunswick stew. And each will be the best you’ve ever eaten. At least according to the recipes holders.”
1200 pounds of bbq and 450 gallons of stew. By the time Brag and I got there at 11 central, 250 gallons of stew were gone

The start of this season just gets worse and worse.

GF and I are in a housing transition and she has said that if I want to rabbit hunt when it's cooler, I need to finish this house, sell it, get us moved into our new one, so don't you think that just this Saturday, you could zzzzzzzzzzzz
At that point her voice seemed to trail off into that annoying hum when a skeeter gets in your ear.
And to make it all worse, deer season opens up next Saturday, though Plunker pointed out that that had nothing to do with his 250 acres.

Oh and speaking of Plunker, he tells me that this season's Stew and Q (directions) at the Ridge Grove Volunteer Fire Department in Chambers County will be the day of the Auburn / Georgia game. It was a success last spring.....as usual

He suggested we might, depending on the time of the game, might want to hunt his place that morning, stop by for lunch on our way home.
